In 2020, Snehdhara's founder visited a municipal school in Dharavi and noticed something heartbreaking: children were sleeping in class — not from laziness, but from hunger. Many had not eaten since the previous afternoon. That week, she started cooking 30 meals in her own kitchen. Four years later, we serve over 500 hot, nutritious meals every single day across 12 Mumbai communities — and we have no plans to stop.
Today, our Fixed Meal Program runs with the support of passionate volunteers, generous donors, and community partners who believe that no child should face the classroom on an empty stomach. Each meal is freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced, and delivered with care — because every child deserves to learn, grow, and dream without the weight of hunger.
