Mother’s Day Celebration – A Day of Love, Creativity and Gratitude

Expressing Feelings Through Art

The children were given the opportunity to draw something that reminded them of their mothers or represented what their mothers meant to them. Some children chose to draw their mothers, while others created pictures based on special moments, memories, or things they enjoyed doing with them. Along with the drawings, the children were encouraged to write a few words about their mothers and share what they felt for them. Their messages reflected love, gratitude, affection, and appreciation in a simple and genuine way.

A Small Gift With a Big Emotion

To make the occasion more personal, the children were also encouraged to prepare or select a small gift for their mothers. The idea was not about the value of the gift, but about the thought and emotion behind it. The children were excited to take something home for their mothers and share their drawings, messages, and gifts with them. It was a simple way of helping them understand that appreciation does not always need to be expressed through expensive gifts—sometimes, a few heartfelt words or a handmade drawing can mean much more.

Creating Meaningful Moments

The celebration created a positive and engaging environment where children could participate, express themselves, and share their feelings openly. It also gave them an opportunity to understand the importance of gratitude and acknowledging the people who care for them. For the Snehdhara team, spending time with the children and seeing their enthusiasm made the celebration especially meaningful. Their innocent thoughts, creative drawings, and heartfelt messages reminded us that even the simplest activities can create lasting memories.

Our Belief

At Snehdhara Charity Council, we believe that education and community development are not limited to academics. Children also need opportunities to develop empathy, gratitude, creativity, and emotional expression. Through activities like this, we aim to create experiences where children can learn important values while enjoying and participating in meaningful celebrations. This Mother’s Day, the children may have created simple drawings, written a few words, or prepared small gifts-but behind each one was a heartfelt message of love and gratitude for their mothers.
