At Snehdhara Charity Council, we believe that every girl deserves to feel safe and empowered. Recently, we conducted a self-defence workshop for over 100 young girls at a government school, equipping them with essential skills to protect themselves and boost their confidence. Designed to address the unique challenges they face, the session combined physical training, awareness education, and mental preparedness to help them navigate their world with greater security.

The workshop began with an energetic warm-up, setting a positive and engaging tone. For many participants, this was their first exposure to structured safety training, sparking curiosity, excitement, and active participation.
Our training focused on practical, easy-to-learn self-defence techniques, ensuring that every girl left with valuable skills:

Beyond physical defence, we engaged the girls in crucial discussions about personal safety:
By the end of the workshop, the change in these young girls was profound. They left not just with life-saving skills, but with a renewed sense of self-worth, courage, and confidence. At Snehdhara, we remain committed to empowering young girls, ensuring that they grow up feeling strong, fearless, and prepared to face the world.
